Social and language skills groups targeting the development of all communication skills, including language development, social awareness and development, speech skills, fluency and more!
These groups are appropriate for children who have been diagnosed with any communication disorder. These groups let children practice the communication skills they develop in the one-on-one setting with their peers!
Children are grouped based on their communicative level first and their age second. This allows all the children to have a happy and successful experience because they can be both the positive peer model and have others to model for them. We like to meet all the children before placing them in a group.
We are also introducing Performance-Based Social and Language Skills Groups. These groups will be held at various locations within the community. The goal of these groups is to help the children with carry-over and generalization of the skills they have learned in the structured setting!
Times may be varied based on the availability of the children in the group, but you will be notified of your child’s time as soon as possible. This allows us to accommodate families’ schedules as we can. Please let us know if you would like to come, but there are time constraints on when you can attend.
We would be happy to bill any fund or scholarship for these groups, but we cannot accept insurance payments for group therapy. If you would like to submit to your insurance for the group sessions , we would be happy to confirm the dates and sign any forms necessary. Please note that there may be additional fees for the Performance-Based Groups, but you will be notified of the cost ahead of time.
